This page will be dedicated to the Virginia Rural Letter Carrier, our state publication. The Virginia Rural Letter Carrier is mailed to regular, relief and retired carriers who are members of the VARLCA.

Permission is granted to other state and local RLCA affiliates to reprint articles from this publication providing appropriate credit is given to the author and this publication.
Attention State Association, Auxiliary & Junior Officer Candidates & National Delegate Candidates.......We MUST comply with U. S. Department of Labor rules regarding ALL candidate announcements. Association, Auxiliary & Junior Candidates for state office may submit announcements and photos for publication in Volume 30, No. 2 of 2011. All officer candidate announcements are limited to 250 words and must be submitted only by the candidate, not his/her representate.
National Delegate Candidate announcements are welcome from all VARLCA members. Those seeking election as a delegate to the National Convention may submit announcements for publication in Volume 30, No. 2 of 2011. These are limited to 125 words.
Candidate announcements are not edited. Those exceeding the word count will be cut off at the point they reach the word count limit.
National Delegate Candidate Nomination forms are published in the NRLCA magazine in February, March, April, and May. Nominations may include self-nomination. They must be mailed to the VARLCA Sec./Treas. (see Officers page for address). They must be received by the VARLCA Sec./Treas. at least 40 days prior to the state convention.
Candidates (including incumbents) whether or not they are elected & national delegates may NOT mention within any of their other newspaper reports, articles or "Letters to the Editor" that they are seeking election or reelection and they may NOT include words "thanking" members for their vote or support.
PUBLICATION SUBSCRIPTION POLICY
The VARLCA offers complimentary subscriptions to the other state editors, NRLCA Association Officers, Auxiliary and Junior officers, as well as spouses of deceased VARLCA members upon request. Out-of-state regular, relief or retired rural carriers who are members of the NRLCA may request paid subscriptions at $12 per year. Send a copy of the mailing label of the national magazine (which will have your name, address and NRLCA membership number) to this publication's editor. Checks should be made payable to the VARLCA.
